Robson Drive System

The BMF Robson Drive System provides additional traction in demanding terrain conditions and is designed to help the trailer move more effectively on soft ground, in mud, snow, and in other slippery working environments where extra pulling support is needed. BMF offers a Robson Drive solution suited only for BMF trailers, ensuring compatibility with the trailer structure and intended hydraulic setup.

How it works
Robson Drive works by using rollers to create additional traction for the trailer wheels. When the system is engaged, the rollers move into working position and assist wheel movement, helping the trailer maintain traction in challenging conditions. The system is powered hydraulically through the tractor’s own hydraulic system (float position needed from control valve) or by crane's hydraulic valve block. The drive is intended to operate with an oil flow of 40–80 l/min.  Control is simple and practical in everyday work. The speed of the 4WD Robson is controlled by two restrictor valves, and the speed can be adjusted for both moving directions.

Robson Drive is therefore a practical solution for improving mobility in difficult terrain. It offers additional traction exactly when conditions demand it, while remaining easy to control through the tractor hydraulics. Designed specifically for BMF trailers, it is well suited for forestry work where reliable movement in challenging ground conditions is essential.
